| My focus is helping practices streamline
their management systems, integrate new technology and educate staff
for maximum performance.
I am first and foremost an educator. I believe in teaching the basics- the nuts and bolts of organizing simple practice systems to get the job done with less stress, more consistency, happier patients and greater profits. This is the purpose of my "How to run a practice" speaking presentations. My effectiveness is based on hands on experience. As I like to say, “I came from the trenches.” I started as a Certified Dental Assistant in 1974 and over the next 15 years worked in every position in an orthodontic practice. My guiding philosophy comes from this direct experience-- keep it simple and empower your staff. Another asset I bring to practices is expertise in technology. I worked for Integrated Management Systems (IMS) from 1990 to 1995 as a sales consultant and trainer. I have been an independent trainer for Dolphin Imaging Systems users for over ten years and am a frequent speaker at their user group meetings. I teach job-specific and cross-training workshops for staff and have written four workbook manuals on orthodontic management systems and the functions of the four coordinator positions in an orthodontic practice.
